Devour Content Here: A Show

Devour Content Here is looking to wilfully, joyfully explode the usual expectations and experiences of performance...

... it seems defiant of limitations, willing to embrace impossible tasks.
— Vue Weekly

"Devour Content Here: A Show" brings audience members into a prairie dust bowl to explore the tale of two young lovers. The work, focused on telling and re-telling of stories, is a unique production presented in a found urban warehouse with a use of dance, installation, and performance. Over thirty performers are cast.

This is a contemporary postmodern gothic opera, a re-telling of Romeo and Juliet in a Great Depression context.

Boom.

Bust.

Boom.

Bust.

That's love.

After the show's run, the Muttart manufacturing warehouse was demolished by developers. The warehouse was offered to me by the developers to create one last, grand spectacle inside the historic space.

I made sure to make it boom, before it went bust.

That's love.
